Yoninah R. Orenstein
Yoninah Orenstein started at Sadek and Cooper as an associate in 2017. Prior to joining the firm, Yoninah was an associate in the family law group of a large, Philadelphia-based firm. She also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Elizabeth Jackson in the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania, Family Court Division.
Yoninah is a family law specialist who works to make lives better for families all over Philadelphia. Not only does she provide solid guidance and a firm defense for her clients navigating custody, support, and property issues, but she is also active in the family law community. Yoninah is a member of the Philadelphia Bar, Family Law Section and serves on the Executive Committee of the Nicholas Cipriani Family Law Inn of Court, an organization which promotes education, ethics, and camaraderie among the members of the Philadelphia family law bench and bar.
Yoninah also contributes to the family law community through her publications, including her article “Tackling Emotionally Draining Issues” in TYL Magazine, Spring 2017. Volume 21, Issue 3, ‘Resilience,’ and “Applying the ‘Best Interests of the Child’ Standard in Shared Custody Arrangements,” which appeared in The Philadelphia Lawyer, Spring 2016, Volume 79, No. 1.
Yoninah earned her B.A. from McGill University and has three legal degrees including an LL.B. from the Université de Montréal, an LL. M. from Boston University School of Law, and a J.D. from Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law. Yoninah’s unique educational and legal service profile gives her perspective and acumen few attorneys can match. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York.
